Redland Education Centre's Lead Teacher is Lydia Lodge and she is assisted by Ali Long and Fran Daws (Redland Parish Church's Lead Youth Worker) and other members of the church staff from time to time.
Lydia graduated from Cardiff University in 2011 with a degree in Religious and Theological Studies. She then completed a PGCE in RE at the University of Bristol and taught at Kings Oak Academy for the following five years.
She enjoys evenings at the allotment and listening to live music.
Ali has worked as a primary school teacher for over 30 years in London, Devon and Bristol. She currently works at Almondsbury C of E school, job sharing a class of Year 4 children. Over the years she has led curriculum training, primarily in English and the Creative Arts. Ali loves to read, garden and ride her bicycle. She works part-time for REC.
Fran completed a Fine Art degree at Falmouth followed by an artist-in-resident post at a girls’ school. She spent the following year as a youth intern at Christ Church Chorleywood, before coming to join the Redland Youth Team in September 2015. She has been Lead Youth Worker since June 2016. Fran enjoys hunting for bargains in charity shops and hikes in the countryside.
